MEDIUM DOG BREEDS

Medium dog breeds weigh between 28 and 50 pounds.

Like the smaller breads, most of them have a life expectancy of 12 to 14 years and can adapt easily to apartment leaving.

Most of them are still small enough to be lapdogs. Although 50 pounds on your lap can be a little heavy for comfort after a while.

They eat more than smaller breads so they will cost you more for upkeep. Some breeds are better watchdogs, some are comedians, and there are as many different personalities as there are breeds.

Just as with the other groups some need more exercise than others. You have to make a proper choice to match your lifestyle. However the fact that they are bigger you should allow at least one hour every day for a good brisk walk.

It will be beneficial to both you and your dog.

They are not as fragile as little dogs so you can play a bit rougher with them.

There are at least 40 different breeds to choose from. Study each breed well. At least one of them will match your personality and life style to perfection.

Medium size dogs can be lots of fun.
